This is the link: http://www.artsonia.com/museum/gallery.asp?exhibit=229988<br />Pipes were last year and the candy canes were 2008-9. I googled the teacher and she has interesting websites (her own and one at the school for her art room).Christie - Fine Lineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10418114130566362780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370879428515287328.post-54674132966594606952010-10-05T19:23:09.695-07:002010-10-05T19:23:09.695-07:00Here's the link to the lesson I'm thinking...Here's the link to the lesson I'm thinking of: http://www.artprojectsforkids.org/2010/03/layering-and-shading-exercise.html<br /><br />But there's no candy canes, though maybe in another of her posts?Phylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482775924810462890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370879428515287328.post-61220288196118760662010-10-05T06:46:23.192-07:002010-10-05T06:46:23.192-07:00Thanks, Phyl. Wish I had had a resource like blogs when I started teaching!! I can see I am going to have to get more organized about saving sites, though. I think it was on Artsonia (maybe in a New York or Mass. school) that I saw a "pipes" version of the "bamboo shoots" that we will be doing, but I couldn't find the site when I went back looking for it. As I recall, that teacher also did a version using candy canes as the cylinders.Christie - Fine Lineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10418114130566362780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370879428515287328.post-41334936554617933762010-10-04T19:54:52.733-07:002010-10-04T19:54:52.733-07:00My third comment - I just wanted to let you know t...My third comment - I just wanted to let you know that I've become, I think, your first follower. I saw a similar project a while back, that used cylindrical pipes or tubes, that I thought looked like wacky plumbing. Very cool.Phylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00482775924810462890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1370879428515287328.post-40503514881162617172010-10-04T19:36:26.263-07:002010-10-04T19:36:26.263-07:00Congrats on what appears to be a nice new blog! ...Congrats on what appears to be a nice new blog!
